Membership Terms.

i.

Tiers & dues

The Chamber offers three membership tiers. Current pricing is always shown on the Become a Member page; the board may adjust dues, and changes apply at your next renewal — never mid-term.

• —Founding — $500 for your first year, offered through June 30, 2027. The Founding title and badge are yours for life; after the first year you renew at the then-current Member rate.
• —Member — $300 per year.
• —Nonprofit — $200 per year, for organizations that attest to nonprofit status when they join.

Term & renewal

Membership runs one year from the day you join — your own anniversary, not the calendar year. At checkout you choose how it renews:

• —Auto-renew — your card on file is charged on your anniversary, with a heads-up email about 30 days before. Founding members who auto-renew are scheduled two years ahead at signup: year one at the Founding rate, year two at the Member rate.
• —One-time — no card kept on charge; we email renewal reminders 30, 7, and 1 day before your membership ends, and you renew by checking out again.

iii.

Grace period & lapse

If a renewal payment fails or a one-time membership passes its end date, you get a 14-day grace period to put it right — your listing stays up and your account keeps working. After that, the membership lapses: your directory listing is hidden (never deleted) and member features close. Rejoining at any time restores everything exactly as you left it.

iv.

Cancellation & refunds

You can turn off auto-renew at any time from your billing page; your membership then simply runs out its paid year. Dues are generally non-refundable, but refunds may be granted at the Chamber’s discretion — write to us and an administrator will review it. A refunded membership may be deactivated and delisted.

v.

Your content & moderation

Directory profiles and calendar events are written by members and reviewed by the Chamber before anything is published. By submitting content you confirm it is accurate, that it is yours to publish, and that you hold the rights to any images. We may approve, reject with a reason, or later unpublish any submission at our discretion — this is a curated directory, not an open platform. Nothing you have submitted is visible to the public until it is approved.

Acceptable use

Be the neighbor the directory says you are. Listings must describe a real business or organization in our community; content must be lawful, honest, and respectful. Misleading listings, spam, scraping the directory for mass marketing, or abuse of other members are grounds for removal of content or, for serious cases, termination of membership.

Disclaimers & liability

The site and membership services are provided as-is. The Chamber does not vouch for, and is not a party to, any dealings between you and a listed business. Payments are handled by Stripe and email by Resend; we are not liable for interruptions in those services. To the extent New York law allows, the Chamber’s total liability to you in connection with membership is limited to the dues you paid for the current membership year.

Governing law & changes

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York. If we change them, the new version will be posted here with a new date, and continuing your membership means you accept it. Questions to hello@bhsagchamber.org — a person reads that inbox.
